Auto West’s 2018 Calendar showed a sense of memory, and this year the 2019 calendar features some mighty power! We’re celebrating the working side of vehicles, on the road, rail and rivers. Nobody has ever said that a passion in this industry needs to stay within a car.
Australia has a rugged landscape. It is vast and hearty and our workers on this land need to be the same. The customers in this calendar either create or own vehicles that work on the land and on our rivers. They are used for transporting goods or people and help them with their everyday jobs.
Last year we wanted to send a message to everyone. That message… at Auto West, we don’t just sell to people who are passionate about cars, we ARE passionate about cars.
This year, we wanted to share a different message. We wanted to show that we are a family-owned and operated business who have worked hard for years, building the company into what it is today. We take pride in ourselves on our hard work and efforts – just like so many other hard working Australians.
The McCormick Farmall
Restored by Barry Hughes in Bathurst. The iconic McCormick Farmall is still able to be used and is an absolute sight to see.
The Tractor Shed
Barry Hughes really loves his vintage machinery. This is evident in his immaculate Tractor Shed.
Victa Mowers
The iconic Aussie Victa mowers are a passion to restore by Danny Vella. While restoring them he takes the utmost care in making sure they are kept as close to original as possible.
Massey Ferguson Tractors
Danny Vella doesn’t just take pride in his Victa’s but his Massey Ferguson’s too. Painted in the original iconic red that has barely changed in the decades from original make. These tractors look crisp and stand out amongst the crowd.
Massey Ferguson 135 Model
The impressive Massey Ferguson Tractor gets a second appearance in this calendar with GWS’s paint job of their 135 Model.
Kenworth Truck
Justin Borg’s Kenworth truck has been repainted in the DNA custom paint range. The Candy Red truly stands out and is one of the most impressive looking haulage vehicles around.
The Nepean Belle
This beautiful River Cruise Paddle Boat has been looked after and loved by Chris at Bennet Cruising for many years. It is one of the most unique vehicles we have had the chance to photograph to date. Its amazing crisp colours really stand out against the greens and browns of the Australian landscape.
Tram
A School in the local Nepean District used this old tram as a project for the seniors to work on together and was restored and painted mostly by the students. They now use it as a seniors lunch area and is a reminder of the teamwork that the school had in taking on such a big job.
